Meredith’s husband, Papa Chris Clarke bestowed an additional honor by presenting Meredith with his own black belt which had been given to him by his Shorin-ryu instructor, Robert Herten, and to Sensei Herten by Nakazato Shugoro Hanshi, founder of Kobayashi Shorin-ryu karate.
